Martial Arts School

_____

We teach classic Japanese Ninja arts, in association with the Shadow Warrior Bujinkan Ninjutsu Society. The Shadow Warrior dojo’s perspective is “Ancient Warrior, Modern Man.” This dual approach focuses on the ancient martial traditions of the Bujinkan and their modern applications.

We also teach programmes of self-protection. These involve pragmatic modern defence skills and tactical thinking, as well as physical conditioning for capability and empowerment.

All martial arts programmes can be taught in weekly classes or as private personal training.

SHADOW WARRIOR NINJA ARTS

A programme combining traditional Japanese Ninpo taijutsu with modern combat inflection.

Training will involve unarmed combat, weapon skills, strategy and tactics, as well as philosophy and lifestyle.

The Shadow Warrior was founded by Brinley Morgan in 1983, a personal student of Soke Masaaki Hatsumi for over 40 years, as well as a former Royal Marine Commando combat instructor.

WOMEN’S JAPANESE MARTIAL ARTS

Designed to give greater access to Women engaging in martial arts, these sessions teach principles of self-protection adapted from Japanese goshin-jutsu.

Training involves learning to use bio-mechanics to your advantage, improvising tools as aids, and the strategy of evasion. We also build confidence and empowerment by revealing your true warrior spirit.

NINE SCHOOLS OF THE BUJINKAN

Founded by Soke Masaaki Hatsumi in 1970, the Bujinkan is a Japanese and international organisation teaching the martial arts and culture of the Ninja warriors of Iga. He inherited the grandmaster titles of the nine martial arts schools from his teacher Takamatsu Toshitsugu - a direct descendant of the Iga families.
